2016 La Liga awards

Atletico Madrid forward Antoine Griezmann has been named the best player in LaLiga for the 2015/16 season ahead of Cristiano Ronaldo and Luis Suarez.

The Frenchman was influential as Atletico contested for top position with Real Madrid and Barcelona for much of last season with the Rojiblancos eventually finishing third.

Atletico Coach Diego Simeone was was named coach of the
year while Jan Oblak unsurprisinly took home the best goalkeeper award.

Real Madrid’s Luca Modric was named midfielder of the season while Barcelona forward Luis Suarez was named World Player.

Luka Modric takes on Fernando and Fernandinho of Man City in the Champions League
Real Madrid’s Marco Asensio was named breakthrough star for his efforts while on loan at Espanyol last season.
