NBC has put the bubble show on a scheduling hiatus during the important May Sweeps ratings period through May 24, which does not bode well for a Season 5 renewal. TVLine first reported that the Memento-esque FBI drama has been temporarily pulled from the schedule, though NBC clarified to TV Guide that Blindspot was always scheduled to be off tonight, April 26. The Blacklist will take over its Friday at 8/7c time slot starting with tonight's two-hour block through its Season 6 finale on May 17. Then Blindspot will return for three more episodes, one on May 24 and two on May 31, which will serve as the Season 4 and possible series finale. Blindspot's ratings are down 20% year over year. It is currently averaging a 0.5 demo rating, the lowest for any NBC drama, and outranks only Good Girls in total viewers. According to TVLine, the Season 4 finale is not written in a way that could serve as a conclusive series finale.

Sri Lankan government officials said major social media networks and messaging apps, including Facebook and WhatsApp, have been blocked inside the country to prevent misinformation and rumors. This comes after the government ordered a state of emergency to be introduced from midnight Monday following the deadly Easter attacks, the president’s office said. The special measures are being brought in “to allow the police and the three forces to ensure public security,” the statement said, referring to the army, navy and air force. The government also ordered a new night-time curfew as tensions remained high after a series of suicide bomb attacks that left at least 290 dead. The government information department said the curfew would run from 8:00 pm (1430 GMT) on Monday until 4:00 am on Tuesday. An indefinite curfew ordered Sunday after the attacks were lifted early Monday but a two-day holiday was decreed in a bid to reduce public traffic.

Benue State Government has released a statement imposing a 24 hour curfew on Katsina-ala Local Government Area of the state. The Canadian High Commission in Nigeria has warned Nigerians to “shine their eyes” concerning reports that Canada is seeking millions of Nigerians to take up permanent residency in the country. This comes after viral news reports claimed that Justin Trudeau, the Prime Minister of Canada, has pleaded with President Muhammadu Buhari to allow one million Nigerians enter Canada under a new Employment and Migration Programme designed for immigrants. The report quoted Trudeau as saying  “we can’t undermine or overlook the contribution of immigrants in Canada’s development especially our brothers and sisters from Nigeria”, and a spokesperson for the Canadian Labour Department, Shadrack Scott, as adding: “The programme’s website will be launched next week and all available jobs will be listed. Currently there are over 6 million vacancies and we are hoping that Buhari allows at least one million people from Nigeria.” However, the Canadian High Commission has denied the report saying,

There was pandemonium over an incident which occurred at Apapa boundary in Ajegunle area of Lagos. It was gathered that a boy named Kola Mutiu popularly known as ‘Black Jesus’, was trying to collect money from a trailer driver before he was crushed to death in the process. According to eyewitnesses, the boy (Black Jesus) was following the trailer driver whom he was trying to collect money from but the driver refused to settle him. The driver was trying to get away from the boy by driving fast not knowing that he (Kola) was running after the trailer, that was when the victim was hit and crushed. He was later rushed to the nearest hospital where he was confirmed dead. It was scooped that the army tried to stop people from beating the trailer driver. When the area boys heard that Black Jesus had died, they turned on the soldiers, as they destroyed their vehicle and also beat them up severely.
